Royal Ridges Retreat
Foster Program

Ever want to own a horse but don’t exactly know how to go about it? This program specializes in giving first time horse owners and previous horse owners the opportunity to have a safe program horse during the off-season.

Take the horse home or to a boarding facility, delivery available, and experience caring and owning a horse without the stress of shopping and buying.

  • We teach you how to care for a horse safely and provide safe beginner horses for youth and those with limited or no experience.

  • We provide you with the information you need to competently care for your new friend and provide staff to help you if needed.

  • Take the horse from September to the end of May at no charge except the feed and care of the horse.

  • Tack provided at no charge if returned in the same shape it left in.

  • Riding lessons provided here at RRR with your horse foster horse or ours. You receive a $5 discount per lesson when participating in the program.

  • Food and shelter

  • Farrier, worming and basic health care needs of the horse.

Only a limited number of horses are available for this program so inquire early!

  • Monthly Boarding Fee to cover the cost of care of the horse.

  • Required number of volunteer feeding hours.

  • This includes full care in the herd as well as any major veterinary care needed.
